Abena investigates and litigates white-collar matters, and complex civil and commercial disputes.
She has represented and advised clients in cases involving the Securities and Exchange Commission and U.S. Department of Justice. Abena has also represented clients in antitrust and securities litigation including large financial institutions as trustees of mortgage-backed security trusts, which brought breach of contract actions arising out of the residential mortgage crisis, and approximately 1,300 plaintiffs in a consolidated action involving respiratory and other injuries caused by their exposure to isocyanate-containing products used in underground coal mines. Prior to joining Clark Smith Villazor LLP, Abena was an attorney at a leading mid-size law firm.
