Abena has represented clients in complex commercial litigation, including antitrust and securities litigation, and breach of contract. Notable representations included large financial institutions as trustees of mortgage backed security trusts, which brought breach of contract actions arising out of the residential mortgage crisis; approximately 1,300 plaintiffs in a consolidated action involving respiratory and other injuries caused by their exposure to isocyanate-containing products used in underground coal mines; and a leading cable company in antitrust class actions brought by a putative class of over 2 million subscribers in each case. Prior to joining Clark Smith Villazor LLP, Abena was an attorney at a leading mid-size law firm.
