Clark Smith Villazor LLP Begins Pfizer Insider Trading Criminal Trial in SDNY

On January 10, 2024, the Clark Smith Villazor LLP team of Patrick Smith, Selbie Jason, and Sean McMahon started its defense of Amit Dagar in United States v. Dagar, 23-cr-00319, a federal criminal jury trial in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.  In the defense opening, Patrick Smith highlighted the “giant hole” in the government’s evidence that is only “based on suspicion” and “guesswork.”  See Law360, “‘Giant  Hole’ In Pfizer Insider Trading Case, Jury Told” (Jan. 10, 2024) (subscription required).  The trial is expected to last one week.
